Kim Yeji, the South Korean pistol shooter who captivated the world with her icy demeanor and silver-medal win at the Paris Olympics, has landed a role as an assassin in a "short-form series."

Her captivating presence at the Games, characterized by her stylish black tracksuit and baseball cap, her cyborg-esque shooting glasses, and her confident stance, made her a viral sensation. Fans likened her to action heroes like James Bond and John Wick, and even Elon Musk tweeted, "She should be cast in an action movie. No acting required!"

It seems their wishes are coming true. Indian influencer and actress Anushka Sen, who is collaborating with Kim on this upcoming "global project," shared a video on Instagram showcasing their dynamic. Sen, clad in leather, struggles to wield a pistol before Kim, in her signature black hoodie, steps in with a coy smile to adjust her stance.

A spokesperson for Asia Lab, the Seoul-based entertainment firm producing the series, confirmed that Kim will play an assassin in "Crush," a spinoff of the global film project "Asia." The company expressed excitement about the "potential synergy that will arise from Kim Ye-ji and Anushka Sen's new transformation into a killer duo."

While this marks Kim's first foray into acting, her social media fame has opened doors to numerous opportunities, including brand partnerships with fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. However, Kim's agency has stated that her athletic career remains her top priority.
