The U.N. Security Council's Gaza cease-fire resolution has been vetoed by the U.S.

At a United Nations Security Council meeting in New York on Friday, Nicolas de Rivière, the French Ambassador to the UN, along with other representatives, raised their hands in favor of a resolution demanding a cease-fire in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. However, in a dramatic twist, the resolution found a strong opponent: The United States.
